Ever heard of a frozen toilet? We have! We do have a few words of wisdom to avoid having to make emergency service calls (which do cost $$) during cold and winter weather:
Location... Location... Location.... If we can't get to it, we can't service it. During the winter months this causes any number of problems with the most prominent being that we can't add anti-freezing agents.
Please have your units placed in easily accessible areas, preferably in a paved area or close to an access road. Also be aware of areas that might be plowed in or excessively muddy, this will cause our vehicles to get stuck (which causes a mess as well extra charges if we require a tow truck to get un-stuck). If we feel we can't safely and cleanly reach a unit during winter months we will notify you of the situation.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding cold weather please feel free to contact us or call us for guidance.
Restroom Placement "Think Before You Place"
Location: The location of your toilet needs to be easily accessible for our trucks both during the unload process and during services. Toilet placements sites must be relatively level and dry so that you do not risk the toilet becoming unbalanced. Also re-think unpaved areas before placing toilets as our trucks are heavy and if the ground is not dry they will leave tire tracks.
Service: Our trucks must be able to maneuver within 10 feet of the toilet for proper access. Please consider this when placing the unit. Also consider the noise that happens when we pump our units (either for a scheduled service or a scheduled pick-up). There is a loud volume of noise when we turn on our pumps, it is necessary and unavoidable.
